SILENT AUCTION CHAIR
We have silent auction items at all live performances that we encourage show attendees to bid on. This is a fantastic way for local businesses & individuals to donate goods & services that allow them exposure to CST theater patrons while also supporting the performing arts (and receiving tax benefits).
For the summer season (our 3 main stage shows), there are 20-25 auction items at each show, attendees at all performances of the show are able to bid on these items and the auction is closed upon the ending of the last performance of that show.
In addition, we have off-season events such as our Halloween Party (specifically a fundraising event), a January “wine-focused” cabaret, and a spring musical. All events need 20-25 silent auction items for our attendees, with the Halloween Party having 30-40 auction items (ideally)
The Silent Auction Chair will establish a silent auction committee of 4-6 people, and together reach out to business owners & individuals in Kootenai County to obtain donations of gift certificates, experiences, gift baskets, etc. Items that are brand new, fit within our desired demographic, are easily auctioned off at our live performances, with values of at least $100.
The Silent Auction Chair serves as a member of the CST Marketing & Development committee which meets once a month (via zoom and in-real-life).
Time commitment: year-round, monthly marketing committee + continual gathering of donations (a few hours a month).
